Today, Vikara Foundation organized a programme to celebrate Holi in an environmentally friendly manner, keeping in mind the imminent arrival of the festival. In order to protect children from excessive water and harmful colours and gulal, Vikara organized a programme for children to play Holi with flowers. Upon hearing about the Flower Holi, all the children and volunteers enthusiastically participated, and in this spirited atmosphere, everyone's happiness was evident. The objective of this event was to celebrate Holi with children while ensuring their well-being. Therefore, Flower Holi was deemed the most suitable option, in which everyone enthusiastically participated.

During the programme, a small event was organized by the children of Vikara, where they presented dances and theatrical performances prepared by Vikara's children. The children captivated everyone with their performances, especially the dances they had prepared themselves. Additionally, volunteers occasionally presented poems and shayaris to inspire the children.

Amidst the programme, games were organized for the children, and they were educated about various topics. Prizes were awarded to the winning children to nurture their talents. A poster-making competition was also held to enhance their artistic skills, and appropriate prizes were given to the winners.

During the event, the empowerment of women was also highlighted, showcasing their achievements and progress. Vikara's founder, Atul Pachauri, explained the objectives of the NGO to everyone and emphasized our progress towards achieving those goals.

Tilak Nagar's local MLA, Honourable Jarnail Singh, graced the event, along with other dignitaries like Dr. Dinesh Gautam (Government School Teacher) and Mr. Lalit (Delhi Public Librarian).

All the guests praised the children's programme, and Honourable MLA Jarnail Singh boosted the children's morale by distributing prizes and engaging in conversations with them. He appreciated our initiative and expressed his willingness to support us in the future, stating that even a single person can make a difference.

Afterwards, all the guests extended their Holi greetings to our team and children. Dr. Dinesh Gautam described the initiative as unique and educated the children about the potential issues during Holi, enabling them to celebrate the festival responsibly. Mr. Lalit wished for a bright future for all the children associated with Vikara and its members.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Flower Holi, from the volunteers to the guests, appreciating how the event promoted eco-friendly celebrations and advised caution while playing Holi.

Each flower presented during the event symbolized its importance, and everyone gathered there praised the unique way of celebrating Holi. They appreciated our efforts to provide necessary items according to the needs of the children.

We expressed our gratitude to all our colleagues with such words and invited others to join us. By joining hands, we can contribute to shaping the future of all these children.
